This beautiful one of a kind cherry wood table and chair set is a featured and beloved item ideal for social gatherings, potluck meals, festival celebrations, and/or organizational strategizing. It was handcrafted by a talented woodworker, and friend, Dan Thomas, who apprenticed under the esteemed late James Langbecker, Christian Community priest, architect, and wood worker in the anthroposophical style. It took Dan one year working full time to complete the table and chair set. The wood came from one very large cherry tree to ensure a match in color and texture throughout.
The table is Large, measuring 65 inches round with TWO 24 inch leaves which allows it to extend to 89 inches and 113 inches respectfully. It is truly a banquet table to serve many at festivals and gatherings.
A "Lazy Susan" graces the center of the table to make it easy to reach items and is removable for when the table is extended to insert the leaves.
The twelve chairs have no square corners with meticulous craftsmanship throughout. Note the many unique angles that give this table and chair set it's anthroposophical character.
The chairs include: 10 Side Chairs and 2 Captain Chairs
Both table and chairs have a hand rubbed finish which gives the wood a soft look while offering a strong protectant for the wood.
One of the Captain's chairs has some water damage on the seat but can be refinished to restore original beauty. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
